My poor puppy who lost his pal of 6+ years to Addison's disease. OH It breaks my heart to have to run to college and leave him alone every week at my parents place.
Oh I can understand, Simba has taken to barking constantly and when I am home and not outside. Howling and whining. He would do better if I could be there all the time. Or at the very least get him a friend, but i don't need a second dog, and my parents don't want another one.

He wasn't the sharpest knife in the cutlery drawer; in fact, he was more of a spoon with the edge of a marble.
I tried leaving the radio on for Monty so he wouldn't feel so lonely. Instead he started poking my cat. Oh, wise little dog. -_-
Try making goodbye kind of a good thing, though. Leave Simba something like a KONG. Give him something to do, something to distract him. Monty mostly barks or howls when he hears me but can't see me. Some dogs bark because they have nothing better to do. Maybe it'll work on Simba?
Thats the thing tho. He doesn't like toys, he likes rawhide bones and what not, but that only goes so far. I have tried. As a puppy I got him to play tug-a-war with me, now its mostly rough housing. He just isn't interesting in much else. He liked to herd the locals horses, sheep, cows etc... with Suzzie (his former doggy buddy). I am almost at a complete loss. If I could just find a renter that would allow me to have him with me, then I could work with him and experiment.
As a student however, I am too broke to go for a larger place. 1000+ a month isn't in my budget. Atm I try to get to my parents as much as possible. I am only an hour and a half away, but I don't think it is enough. He needs a companion, and someone to walk and run with him out of the yard. I understand giving him to a new home or rescue, but he just has been with the family too long and it would break his heart and mine. He only has a few more years with us I think. I would hate to cause anymore stress than what already is.

It might not be in your budget to get another place, but have you ever considered hiring a dog walker? Even if it's only twice a week that they come, Simba will get some of the attention he needs. Giving him up would be the last option, and one that should never have to come to mind. So keep thinking!
First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.
You might even be one hell of a profesional, but if you don't SHOW it and PROVE it, how will everyone know? These facts are important not only when you are looking for a job, but in any situation when you wish to showcase your work. I decided to share a few guidelines that might help you give the best of yourself and help you be a better profesional.

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
